The river Dommel has always been dominating our town. In the Middle Ages Boxtel was founded on the high grounds near the river at a crossroads of early infrastructure. Today, just as in medieval times, Boxtel is situated on crossroads. You can reach all the major Dutch cities in a manner of hours. In just under an hour you can travel to Amsterdam by train. By train you can easily travel as far as Germany, Belgium or France.
Boxtel has become the centre of Het Groene Woud. We specialise in (regional) sustainable development as well on a strategic as on an operational level.
