LIFESCAPE - YOUR LANDSCAPE is a trans-national partnership project and co-funded by the European Union‘s INTERREG IIIB programme for North West Europe (NWE). The project‘s total budget is 6.7 million euros. On 31 March 2005 the partnership received a grant offer letter for €3.2 million. The INTERREG IIIB NWE Programme and its 800 project partners are engaged in 99 ongoing projects to help key players and stakeholders across North West Europe to find innovative, cost effective, long term solutions to common challenges - projects that promise to make a real difference to lives and communities. Between 2000-2006 the INTERREG IIIB NWE Programme allocates €330 million of European Regional Development Funding (ERDF) to encourage closer co-operation and integration through trans-national spatial development initiatives, which promote sustainable development. "Trans-national cooperation is about looking beyond local issues, meeting people, exchanging experiences, sharing knowledge, developing a new culture, and achieving better results together rather than alone."
